You have a dangling paragraph at the end.
If you want the discussion to be about faith in science, it needs to be drawn to it more tightly than just a statement that it's a continuation of a prior thread that was about faith in science. The title should be changed to draw it to that topic, also.
It would probably be a good idea to shorten and simplify the presentation by focusing just on evolution and leaving "environmental traits" and memes aside for the moment.

Re: looking at the big picture
Hi RAZD,
I've moved this thread back to [forum=-25] because what I feared immediately came to pass. If the focus of discussion is faith in science, that's fine. But if the focus of discussion is evolution, then this is far too broad a topic. For example, Wumpini asks about transitional forms, the evolution of reproduction, eye and ear evolution and the evolution of complexity.
You need to either clearly focus the discussion on faith in science, or narrow the focus of discussion sufficiently so that this thread doesn't wander over all aspects of evolutionary theory.

Re: refocus
Rather than getting into a lengthy back and forth, let me just make a couple changes and promote this to [forum=-5], then you can try to make do.
I'll change the title to Evolutionary Theory Explains Observations (dry, I know - sorry).
The thread also needs a concrete focus, an example or scenario, but doesn't have one yet, so we'll leave it fluid. But once the flow of discussion adopts a central focus, that will be the focus for the rest of the thread.

Slevesque and Dr Adequate,
Your subthread titled Arrogance began with Dr Adequate's Message 104. I'm a little late here, things seem to be settling down now, but in case not I wonder if you two could be persuaded to set this aside.
For Slevesque, I understand that you were only coming to the defense of LucyTheApe, but please let moderators do their job. If you think a moderator should look in on a thread please post to Report discussion problems here: No.2.
For Dr Adequate, could you focus more on the content and less on the qualities of the person producing the content. This is from your Message 104 replying to Slevesque's genetic calculations:
Dr Adequate in Message 104 writes:
What you have written is indeed ridiculous. I'm going to guess either that you're mathematically illiterate or that you don't know the difference between the word "similarity" and the word "difference".
Simply pointing out the errors would have been sufficient. I recognize that some people's error rate seems to be a bit on the high side, and a bit of chiding does seem appropriate from time to time in the hope of providing a little impetus to do better, but for the most part please follow the Forum Guidelines and keep discussion impersonal.
