No, it's a good question.
It depends on where you draw the line between species, and drawing lines is tough in biology, 'cos of evolution.
Consider the
cichlid fish of Lake Malawi. They are genetically capable of interbreeding, but they don't. And they have vastly differing appearance and habits of life, as you'll see if you follow the link.
Does it make sense to say that they're all the same species?
