You know, the only prediction that I'd say that the Bible has made for after its conception as a complete, unalterable book (i.e., so that things couldn't be fudged) is the book of Revelations. Of course, it hasn't come true. Any explanations from the Fundies here as to why the apocalypse is a bit... um... late?

Re: New Arguments
So, you agree with w_fortenberry? Good. Because Isaiah 7 refers to "almah" (girl). :As he stated, "bethulah" means virgin in the technical sense. It's the word common in levitical law. But not what is used here - almah is.
In short, Isaiah 7 does *NOT* state that a virgin will give birth. It states that a girl will give birth.

Re: SIDE NOTE AND OBSERVATION
Buz, stop for a second. If our goal was just to discredit a prophecy, we'd point out that details about Jesus's supposed life could easily have been tweaked after the fact; after all, there aren't any Roman records (despite their meticulous record keeping) that even mention him, so there's no way to confirm it.
Did you stop and think for a second that maybe - just maybe - to a person reading it, that the prophecy is anything *but* clear that it's about Jesus?
If it were a clear prophecy, people would have used the method that I mentioned in the first paragraph.
