Born2Preach, I assure you that I, too, have had some very profound, moving religios/mystical experiences. I consider them an important part of my life, and they may even be an important part of what it is to be "human". However, I would never claim that they are anything more than mental states that can be explained through psychology, neurology, and may even have an adaptive value to the species.
