perhaps i should take this up in the moderation thread, but i really fail to see why it's off-topic... i gave faith exactly what she asked for in her op: "specifics about what fossils are found exactly where and in what quantity and that sort of thing"

lol i guess that works, but i always took this thread as thanking the members that contribute good posts.

what i've never really gotten is what we do with the potm nominations. there's no vote, nothing posted the front-end of the site, etc.
