I realize this is a rather old thread but I thought I'd offer the latest:

What I find most interesting is the actual words on the sticker; "This textbook contains material on evolution. Evolution is a theory, not a fact,
regarding the origin of living things. This material should be approached with an open mind, studied carefully and critically considered. [emphasis added]"
It seens that the members of the school board need a little education about evolution, themselves...
