Using the analogy of the balloon, does it make any sense to consider the distance from the center of the ballon to the surface as depicting time?
It seems to me that the 2 dimensional surface of the ballon that represents the 3d universe inflates in porportion to the time involved which, using the analogy, is represented by the radius of the inside of the ballon.
