I know you got plenty of answers already, but i thought i'd chip in too.
My question is, why don't the liberal establishment and the media (but I'm being redundant) take this kind of thing seriously?
What exactly is the liberal establishment? CNN, MSNBC, FOX News, NYT, WJ and other mainstream news outlets?
It is easy too google the WND article and find it covered many other places, mostly blogs and other fringe news sources.
Why do you think that any major media outlet should spend even a second on this nutcase? He, and others, with the same extreme views might a future lone wolf terrorists, but probably not. A lot of peole from all religions and races write bullshit on the internet. Giving them any attention is just more power for them.
I know this report is from WND, home of a lot of cranks, but one might ask why this isn't reported elsewhere?

Probably not. It would have reached much higher media attention if he did. You know, like Ahmadinejads misquote about wanting to wipe Israel off the map. He didnt really say that, but your "liberal" media was all over that. CNN, MSNBC, FOX News, all the papers etc.
I dont think any "american liberal" seeks the destruction of Israel. Most people IMO, want what every american president for the past four decades have wanted: Israel going back to pre-1967 borders. And peace.
