If they did do this, it would just be an example of them going above and beyond their customer service. It is up to you to match components properly. However, most good companies will cut you some slack (Newegg). You are buying components as a builder, therefor it is up to you to have the knowhow.
Actualy no they are responsible because they ship me the whole box already built and tested. They would have a hard time going around that if they dint want to give me my money back and id go to court.
I do choose the components but their site recommends most there is a special advanced option though but the prices are also higher for components that are sometimes not as good then the recommended ones. So if their site recommends the component in my rig its like a employee recommending something that does not work together i get my money back.
And thirdly no one likes it when someone mentions consumer inspection in my country inspectors are bitches and the fines fucking out of this world i should know got finned a few times but by different typs of inspectors.
Fortly i can just send the comp back before 8 days even if nothing is wrong with it just because i had a change of mood no explanation necessary.
In my country the costumer who knows his rights or just likes to bitch is always right, the only problem is that most dont know their rights or dont like to bitch.
I once returned a perfectly good TV 15 days after i bought it just because a noter one was in the same price range but tones better, I said no one told me that it do sent receive digital channels (if i took the time and upgraded the tvs software it would run slovenian digital channels, glad the employee dint read the manual
) even though i knew it dosent and i have a box that translates the digital channels to normal channels that any tv can run, and the employee told me that it dosent.
