Why is it VERSUS?

Why is it that scientists from all over the world, from different cultures and practicing different religions, accept the evidence from, first, the fossils and, more recently, genetics?And why is it that those few who reject this evidence are always fundamentalists?Hmmmm. Makes one wonder, it do.
