pi = 3?
LDS: Go ahead, give me something. Tell me something that takes place in the bible that physics and other natural forces of nature could not do. Seriously, I'll take you on on this.
Let's start with a simple matter of geometry:
Chronicles II 4:2
Also he made a molten sea of ten cubits from brim to brim, round in compass, and five cubits the height thereof; and a line of thirty cubits did compass it round about.
Thus, according to the Bible, pi = 3. Hopefully you see the problem with this.
Once you explain this away, we can tackle other scientific problems with the Bible, such as its claims that hares are ruminants or that the moon produces light.

so you've changed your argument then?
First: Go ahead, give me something. Tell me something that takes place in the bible that physics and other natural forces of nature could not do. Seriously, I'll take you on on this.
Then after several examples are given:
Oh my heck, you guys. THE BIBLE IS A SPIRITUAL MESSAGE TO THOSE WHO WILL SINCERELY LISTEN. IT IS NOT A SCIENTIFIC ALMANAC!
So I'm assuming you're taking back your statement that there is nothing "in the bible that physics and other natural forces of nature could not do?"
Remember, the bible was written for the people of the day, and us. So the writers had to make it understandable to both peoples. Do you expect the bible to read- Pi equals therefore three and one tenth and four hundredths with five thousandths and....
Isn't the Bible God's word? Shouldn't He know the value of pi at least to two decimal places?
You've simple proved a certain point: The Bible wasn't written "for the people of the day", it was written "by the people of the day", with the knowledge they had.
Can you come up with an example of something in the Bible that the people of the time couldn't have known given their knowledge base? I don't mean prophecy, I mean things that would be completely out of their realm of knowledge.
That would be interesting evidence for God's hand in the writing of the Bible.
