Simple but fun math problem

I think I have them allSPOILERSPACE (highlight the blank area to see it)

7+(1^2)=8
(2/2)+7=8
(7-3)*2=8
2^(7-4)=8
This next one is based on my tenuous understanding of Percy's 'Dot' hint, so it might be mathematical nonsense...
(7-...-5)^2=8
(7*2)-6=8
