If there were a grain of truth to any top secret weapon technology, chances are that it would be the United States.(The Great Satan itself) who would possess such technology.
I am a bit more whacko than the purely scientific minds here, but I think that if some conspiricy of Biblical prophecy were to be detected, it would be detected and discerned by many people and not just by one guy on his private mission.
