Is this another conspiracy of Evos to shove evolution down everyones throat?
Spore
wiki writes:
Spore is a multi-genre "massively single-player online game"[5][6] developed by Maxis and designed by Will Wright. It allows a player to control the evolution of a species from its beginnings as a unicellular organism, through development as an intelligent and social creature, to interstellar exploration as a spacefaring culture. It has drawn wide attention for its massive scope, and its use of open-ended gameplay and procedural generation.
Consists of 5 main stages of gameplay:
1. Cell Phase-Similar to an open board Pac-Man using a single cell
2. Creature Phase-Your single celled organism has evolved legs and now has a 3D world to explore where you interact with other creatures.
3. Tribal Phase-Your creature has evolved enough intelligence and begins to divide labor among its members. This is the start of a Real-Time Stategy Game.
4. Civilization Phase: This phase is similar to Sim city. Your goal is to conquer the whole planet. You customize buildings, vehicles, ect.
5. Space Phase: Your race of creatures learn space travel and can go out and conquer other worlds.
At every phase there is content that was designed by other players that was loaded into your game via web access.

I was just kidding about the conspiracy. It is closer to ID than evolution
The game is great fun. The creatures are incredibly customizable. Their movement and actions are dictated by parts and part locations. My only complaint with it is the limited installs and the psuedo-spyware securerom that is installed on your computer.
