ok firstly you need to define what you mean by a tree.. all things biologicaly classed a trees ? , do man made plastic trees count ...
then define your forest ... soil type , undergroth density , camp sites , does a kelp forest count.. then the forests location , in hill top , in a deep sided valley ..
the define what you mean by a sound .. wavelenght , pitch , loudness
then define the term fall , under noraml earth gravity , from what high , could the tree reach terminal velocity , how the tree falls .. ie from a natural standing stance , of falling off a log , or truck , or crane ..
once all perameters are agreed we can start to run sonme tests ...
