One thing I enjoy is shooting. In the past it was mostly hunting but for the last few decades it has been more target shooting.
I was wondering if there were other gun owners here and if so, what do they own and what type shooting do they enjoy? Aslan is not a Tame Lion

.357 magnum short barrel.
All the self-defense you'll ever need, and it sure cuts down on the bills for Karate lessons.

Which model 357? I happen to love the 4" M-19 and find it the fastest, most accurate handgun I've ever owned. Aslan is not a Tame Lion

Ruger Blackhawk single-action .357.
Slung low. Makes me feel old-school. (Though I do prefer archery - far more meditative...)

I'm a big shotgun fan first and foremost. For home defense I have a Winchester Camp Defender. It has the eight-shot full tube magazine. I rigged a clamp-on flashlight to it for night purposes. It has rifle sights on its short barrel and I can shoot grapefruit size slug groups at 75 yards with it so I can hunt big game with it if I choose. I really love its all-around capabilities.
For regular bird hunting, I use a standard 1300 Winchester. I bring along an older 870 for back-up in case I ever have a problem on a hunting trip. For trap shooting I use a trap grade 870. I have cut back on it recently, but I absolutely love shooting clay pigeons. I have been absolutely addicted to it in the past. It was to the point that I built a shotshell reloader into the well of my station wagon and I could just flip it out and make some more shells on the spot if I decided to shoot a few more rounds at the trap range. I once sponsored a team at our league. We called ourselves the "Trapaholics". It can be a pretty addicting sport. In the handgun department, I have become a huge fan of the Glock. I am also a big fan of the .40 S&W calibre. In rifles, I am a huge fan of the old "pre-64" Model 70 Winchesters. Best rifle ever made IMO. For plinking, I love a little Savage Anschutz .22 I have. I can out-shoot people with scopes on my open sights with it. Verzem

No, I'm happy with the size of my penis.
BURN! (Sorry folks, too easy a shot to not take it. As gun owners, I'm sure you can understand. ) "Egos drone and pose alone, Like black balloons, all banged and blown On a backwards river the infidels shiver in the stench of belief. And tell my mama I'm a hundred years late; I'm over the rails and out of the race The crippled psalms of an age that won't thaw are ringing in my ears" -Beck

Don't own a gun myself because some stupid law says you have to be an adult, but I love shooting.
I've shot a 12 and 10 gauge shotgun, I prefer the 10 gauge with the extra-punch shots because recoil rules. Sucked at first but now I can hit clay pigeons fairly well. I've also shot some .22 and did alright, a .33 rifle(called a 'saddle gun' by my cowboy cousin) and sucked, and I've shot a .22 pistol and capped a squirrel in the head. Damn squirrel. Wanna feel God? Step onto the wrestling mat and you'd be crazy to deny the uplifting spirit. http://www.BadPreacher.5u.com (incomplete, but look anyway!)

Aw, snap!
Shot some guns in Boy Scouts. .22's. That's about it. My wife doesn't like guns, but I have a few swords around the house, including a Japanese katana I'm trying to track down an appraiser for.
