Re: Welcome and enjoy
Hi there,
I'm new on this forum and not familar with english language.
Seeking this forum, I'm surprised that some people seem to be convinced that evolutionary events don't exist!
I'm sophomore and studying evolutionary events on fishes.
I can assure you that evolution proofs are concrete and based on scientific data (counted by billions).

Re: Welcome and enjoy
Hi Quetzal,
Yes you're right. I'll spend more time on my text next time.
If it's too comic to read, this will ruin the aim of my message
and certainly finishes to badly affect my enthousiasm.
Next ones will be far better.
I've seen many interesting topics.
Must read all that first.
Sincerely,
Denesha

Re: Welcome and enjoy
Hi neilheightyheight,
This is hard but realistic. Conflict originates often when one or more discussion actors based their argumentation on dubious facts. But I can't blame a person for a gap in he's personal knowledge. Dozen years are necessary to assimilate a small part of the paleontology. I'm still learning, each days and I love Paleontology. Even if you're not a specialist in vertebrate (i. e. an expert), the global evolutionary principle is the same for all organisms of the past. I mean that biogenetic laws did affect any organisms. Conversely, I find harassing fashions of certain person systematically exploiting gaps in the paleontological documentation for promoting their personal theories.

Re: Precambrian fossils
Willow,
Fossils exist and you can't do anything against that!
Suppressing them (physically or intellectually) is falsification.
Ediacara's fauna is a crucial fossil association.

Re: the pictures
Dear BAE,
I appreciate your contribution for this topic (one of my favourite one). I would like to add something.
It is possible that thousand modifications in a genetic pool were not sufficient to observe the rise of a new species. One fact is sure. This takes long time and more, if the ecospace is not perturbed. Honestly, I don't know how much genes must be changed to obtain a conclusive discrepancy between two tendencies within a given population.
I guess it must be enormous and proportional to the complexity of the organism.
I study fishes. My fossil documentation is extensive but mostly reduced to ridiculously small organ of past fishes (teeth). My actual basis is 2,5 million year should probably be the average life-time for a species. I prefer not attempt to calculate the modified gene numbers during such period.
