"What if Jesus came back from the heavens and told us there is a god? Wouldn't that prove evolution wrong?"
While that would be very interesting, just how would that prove evolution wrong? Jesus would have to tell us a few other things first wouldn't he?

Thank you for agreeing with exactly my point:

I mean, I suppose he may have to say that the bible is also correct in all its terminology or something similiar. But then again, I guess he would have to say a lot more to convince an athiest...
He would also have a lot of explaining to do after he had made it clear that everything was created in 6 days wouldn't he? But that is a topic for another thread. Sorry for starting to wander off topic.

The purpose of the rest of the planets and little atomic structures and complex systems of the universe's purpose is to show god's glory.
Yup and those Christians who understand the universe better believe in a much more glorious God than those who can't begin to comprehend the simple, old fashioned, magical God of the OT.
This was supposed to disprove evolution. The bible states this.
Huh?

Common sense isn't

As someone else has noted here, very eloquently too:
God wrote the rocks, Man wrote the Bible.
The universe may or may not prove the existance of God but if you believe it is his direct handiwork then what it does show is how He formed his creation. He could not allow the enormous complexity of those details to bury the true message of the Bible so he wrote that into the very fabric of the universe for us to read. How He did it is not as described in Genesis.

Common sense isn't

URL not found
The url didn't work for me.
In addition, you are expected to use a site to back up your arguments. If the chance of life on another planet is "nada" then you should be able to show how that is determined.
I ask, because I am very, very sure you can not support such a statement. Looking forward to learning something, I am.
ABE
And do be careful about dogmatic statments. There are these little clues that our neighbor may have extant life right now.

The Ross article.
Thank you. I did manage to drill down to it. It is not apparent to me what is wrong with your URL.
I did a quick read over it. (You might note what Sylas has to say about it ).
Here is one of a number of places where this is dicussed.
Life and Fine-tuning of the universe.
The old 747 from a junkyard analogy is discussed here:

It is, as noted a rather silly analogy.
