Though there is no evidence for this or at least i cannot find any study that would show this in china. Of course there's no evidence for it, that's why it's a prediction. There's no evidence for your interpretation either.

There's no evidence for your interpretation either. Every test or survey preformed from the 1920 supports the notion that less religious people are smarter. A test like yours and if it where true would debunk this notion and transformed it to smarter people tend to be outside the norm in cases of religion. I have a hypothesis and evidence to back it up, and a way to debunk it so go ahead take the first flight to china and conduct a survey there.

But your evidence doesn't support any causal link. All you have is correlation.

But your evidence doesn't support any causal link. All you have is correlation. Huh??? Ok let me put it this way how would you test if there is a difference of intelligence between those of high belief and those of low belief.

That's not what I'm disputing; I'm disputing your assertion about that the correlation tells us anything at all about religion. As opposed to merely being a consequence of a third cause.

And you are saying that this 3d cause is that more intelligent people tend to not follow the norm when it comes to religion. If the majority is religious they will tend to be atheistic and if the majority is atheistic they will be religious. I think that is complete BS, usually intelligent people believe things that have evidence to support it/ pointing to it and not the other way around.

Which is why it is an hypothesis and not a theory or a 'fact'. But your evidence doesn't support any causal link. All you have is correlation. Yes - more testing is required.(Frako even suggested what kind of testing could be done.) He made an hypothesis and showed the data that made him suggest that hypothesis. You saying: "There is no definite link between religiosity and intelligence." does not affect anything Frako said. There is no causal link between trauma and PTSD - but they are still considered to be cause and effect.

You'll note my comment was a response to his response not an out-of-context note on what he was saying.

Yeah, I usually expect responses to make some sense.

frako writes: [qs link]The data shown above begs the question: what would be revealed by a survey that correlated IQ and religiosity on an individual basis? Within a given population, is religion more important to persons of high intelligence, or low intelligence? Here's the deal, Frako. Note in the survey, the nations which register the highest are non-evangelicals. In fact most are non-Christian. In fact most are either Muslim, Roman Catholic or Pagan. In fact, most are not scholastically educated to any significant degree, if not any at all. Has a study been done on the US by itself? On Protestant vs Roman Catholic, globally? Note in the survey that the Roman Catholic SA nations rate high. Education is not the forte of these nations. BUZSAW B 4 U 2 C Y BUZ SAW. And it appears that asking for clarification was beyond your capabilities. Yeah, I usually expect responses to make some sense. Are you religious perhaps?
