Author | Topic: How to let people show their ... stupidity? | |||||||||||||||||||||||||

It is somewhat amazing that people are so willing to show their incompetence when it comes to grasping the situation/s.
This thread is not intended to debate the relative merits of the positions described (there's the issue of stupid people not being able to comprehend that they are stupid after all), but rather to showcase examples, hopefully in a humorous vein (and most of these people are vain as well). Two recent examples come to hand: Category: Muckraker - TPM – Talking Points Memo
quote: Judson seems to have a little problem with what the freedom of religion is all about and what the constitution says. Then there's this one: Category: Muckraker - TPM – Talking Points Memo
quote: Here's a hint for Mark: if your mouth is open, you are probably going to say it stupidly - it seems you just can't help it. Now I could probably browse TPM – Talking Points Memo - Breaking News and Analysis for days for more entertainment ... ... but I'll end with this one: http://tpmlivewire.talkingpointsmemo.com/...t-tell-video.php

Hi Coyote
LOL, that's a winner, does he think islands are like icebergs? .. and of course it has as much to do with how politicians get elected (people have to vote for them ... yes?) in general, as it is fairly evidently that it has little to nothing to do with the intelligence of the majority of the candidates.
Remember, this guy voted for Obamacare! He knows what's best for you. Not sure what that has to do with intelligence though (and I'm glad he did vote for it, so I don't see the problem there) ... ... or is it just another example of a disturbingly typical logical fallacy argument: Person X is says something that appears stupidPerson X supports Y Therefore Y must be stupid? Seems your source is also capable of making questionable comments. Enjoy. Hi Taz, let's lighten up a bit (holiday season after all)
The thread is to highlight stupid things stupid people say, not to debate the finer points of stupidity thus exposed. There's plenty of canon fodder. Let's have some more examples. Everyone,
I agree that he made a boner statement, and it was clear to me listening to the tape (are we gonna have another tapegate?) that he said it and then seguayed to the population density issue. The only thing I also notice is that the source coyote quoted also said

His horse?
Oh BTW, did you notice some of the misspellings in the subtitles? What I loved was their doctoring of the maps, relabeling Australia (where I believe the original tv show production was from, iirc from previous posting) to other various countries (north korea, iran, france, etc) and getting the clueless to stick pins in it. Sad commentary on general education levels I'd say. by our ability to understand Rebel American Zen Deist ... to learn ... to think ... to live ... to laugh ... to share. another excellent example of a politician opening his mouth ...
How could you elect this guy twice rofl I didn't. I voted against him twice, and after the first time I apologized to all the creationists that I had called stupid, because I had obviously overestimated the average intelligence of the American public. Even knowing that half of americans need to be under 100 IQ due to the math involved ...
