Re: Tying it to Bush Administration?
A president and his Administration sets in motion a government agency with laws and codes of conduct. I can guarantee that nowhere in the FEMA manuals is a mandate to feign press conferences.
Yeah, you're absolutely right, NJ. I mean, holding a fake press conference? That's certainly a radical departure from the honesty, transparency, and aboveboard conduct that this administration has developed the reputation for, isn't it?
It's a culture of corruption, NJ, led by an executive and his administration displaying a complete disregard for truth and oversight, and rewarding slavish loyalty. How many examples do we have to supply? "Heckuva job, Brownie"? Scooter's pardon? How can any thinking person, at this point, not see this latest travesty as a direct result of the example set by the President? Explain it to me.

Re: Tying it to Bush Administration?
So you need no evidence of misconduct on the Bush Administration in order to believe they had a hand in the scandal?
I certainly need no additional evidence than the conduct of this administration for the past 6 years.
Where can I get the wiretaps?
You could start by watching something other than Fox News, the Republican press organ.
Yes, so blame Brown for dropping the ball..... Twice... And blame Bush, 1: For hiring an inexperienced person to run a very serious institution, and 2: For not firing him after the Katrina debacle.
I'm trying to blame him. You and yours seem to think that Bush is never to be blamed for anything. Remember all the conversations we had after Katrina? The insistent refrains that, despite the obvious failures going right to the White House, it was all the fault of Democrats?
For as much as you say "blame Bush", I have to ask - when exactly do you intend to start doing that?
How can any thinking person blame all the abject misery in the world on one man's shoulders?
Who said anything about all of it? Try to address my claims, please, not ridiculous strawmen.
Nonetheless I still don't see how its unreasonable to blame Bush when his appointees follow his example. So answer the question you just glibly dismissed. How can any thinking person, at this point, not see this latest travesty as a direct result of the example set by the President?
