Well some of us are not good at spelling. As a matter of fact, everyone on this forum who has corrected me in my spelling, has been caught mis-spelling words.
To all of you, I have this to say, and if you can read it, let's put the spelling error thingy to rest.

Unless your gay? Why would you bring that into the conversation?
I would pass it through a word processor, if I got paid to do this. I don't have a whole lot of time, there is way to many gays to bash in this life, and I am far from done. Plus, I am employeed as a national bigot at the fundie conventions around the world, so I have to stand in front of a mirror and practice holding a straight face while saying things like..... Besides, all the quotes from the people I quote come up as errors, and I don't feel like correcting everyone. Just explaining what is, and what isn't. Lighten up, I don't even take myself as serious as you do.

Could this "wanting the best for another person" be called Applied Christianity Wanting the best would be an awesome thing! But when people try to associate your spelling ability with the validity of your message, then it is not wanting the best, but outright invalid criticism. I stand by my OP.

Ultimately, message board's are a means of communication; if you can't be bothered to try and communicate with me as clearly as possible I don't see why I should try and deal with your arguments as well as I can. I type things correctly and still people don't understand.
There is no excuse, what-so-ever, for spelling errors in your post.
I say there is no excuse to say someone doesn't know what they are talking about if a word comes out misspelled. Further more, those who point out these misspellings, I have always caught them misspelling themselves.
what-so-ever What so ever.
favourite favorite. I guess you aren't using that tool bar eh? Does everyone see what I am talking about now? I guess I now have authority to ignore what you said, because heh! You just misspelled a word, and phrased something badly. lmao

dude. just pass it through a word processor first. it's not so hard. if you are aware of your own shortcomings, the idea is to fix them. isn't that what christianity is all about? or is it just to say 'oh well you all mess up too and it's easy for you to ignore it because it doesn't affect you.' you know. unless you're gay. dude-Dudejust-Just christianity-Christianity if-If it's-It's or-Or you-You unless-Unless I GUESS CAPITOLS DON'T MATTER.

'Favourite' = British spelling, 'favorite' = American English spelling. How does the google tool bar spell it? That is what he was preaching to me.

Ultimately you should care about your spelling and grammar because if you don't it is a) rude and b) less likely that you will communicate your point clearly. Dude your not getting the point. The point is not whether or not spelling is important, or that we should care about it. I do spell check more than half of my posts, and through that process I have learned to be a better speller. I have noticed even sometimes there were no corrections needed. My point is, that if you mis-spell a word, AND the other person still understands it, they should not be trying to say that your whole message is no good, just because you misspelled a word.. If you read it and understand what it says, even with the bad spelling, then your point was made, and there is no real need to point something out. Only one time was something pointed out to me, that was a constant mistake that I appreciated. Even that time, the person knew what I was saying, yet try to claim that WHAT I was saying, not how I was saying it, or writing it was wrong. Get it now?

Well, that's the art of clear, precise and fluent articulation and manipulation of the written word. The bible is written very well, yet many people do not understand it's meaning.

If a lot of people do not understand the Bible, then it lacks in clarity, apparently. Soley because people do not understand it? I guess that makes Einsteins theory a flop.

demonstrably falls short, by your own admission. That is not what I said or meant. The point was that there must be an effort on the persons behalf trying to read it. Any book that has 3 million words in it, must take a little effort, just like Einstiens theory. But on the other hand, sometimes God just shows up, and you don't even have to read about it.

The Bible has been translated to many languages and studied over centuries and yet everywhere is argued over. EvC is a microcosm of that. I guess because finding God is not as simple as math. There are 6 billion people in the world, each individual, and their path to find God all different. Takes quite the book to express God's word. But I think that is only half of it, the other half is up to people. I hold myself accountable to everyone I let down, which in here may be a lot of people, but look at what I am dealing with. I consider most people in here very smart. I consider myself smart, but not educated in the same things as most in here. But my own intellect (or the lack thereof) was what held me back from God sometimes. Not the words in the bible. Once I felt what I felt, the words became extremely clear to me. Narrow is the road. I'm not sayin I'm on it, but I am trying.
