Firefly
At Dragon Con in Atlanta this year, I got to see Nathan Fillion, Adam Baldwin, and Jewel Staite(sp?) give several talks. Fillion is a very entertaining speaker. He was also very gracious. One of the more enjoyable biots were when Fillion said that people say fans who go to things like DragonCon have trouble dealing with reality, but that when he was on a daytime soap he did several soap opera conventions and those people were freaking terrifying. Apparently the science fiction types are restrained and reasonable by comparison.
One popular event at Dragon con is the Atlanta Radio Theater. They do live radio productions (more fun then it sounds) of classic science fiction and horror. This year they did Robert Heinlein's "The Menace from Earth" and Jewel Staite was the guest star. For those that have read the story, she was Ariel Brentwood.
