Just a brief note, since I'm new here and ya'll appear to have some old business to finish up.
"IC" refers to Michael Behe's idea of "Irreducible Complexity". In essence, Behe postulates that there are certain cellular structures and biochemical processes that are impossible to reduce to simpler structures. As examples, he argues that bacterial flagella, the Krebs cycle, and blood clotting cascades would not work if all of their components did not exist simultaneously. It is one of the foundations of modern ID, since it allegedly falsifies a purely naturalistic explanation of evolution.
