This too much. I spent the better part of the morning trying to find any support that 'W.W.11 Pope' (I assume you mean Pius XII?) ever said this or anything that could be twisted into this. The only hits I find on it are (drum roll please) OTHER posts on other forums by IaJ. That is suspicious in itself. I did find a bio on wiki about this pope which mentions nothing about his opinions on the State of Israel but he did reverse his earlier WWII neutrality stance and make it RC policy that the church is to aid and assist all Jewish refugees.SO Joseph - Would you please either show us where you got this quote or admit you made it up? I am going with the latter hypothesis as I can find absolutely no evidence that any Pope said such a thing about the formation of the 20th century State of Israel. That is both online or in my library. Here is what I think happened. You KNOW that it was fulfillment of prophesy, you KNOW that it says Rome would be opposed, so therefore you KNOW that some pope must have said something like that to fulfill prophesy. Cannot find it? Hell, just make it up since it probably is out there somewhere anyway. Doesn't matter that it is slandering the name of someone who opposed the Holocaust, it's lying for Jesus so it is okay.So here is your chance. Prove me wrong and I will apologize. Otherwise you need to retract your statement. Some people seem to be able to say or do anything and still look at themselves in the mirror. I know you will not acknowledge this but it is my hope that lurkers will see this as another example of how far the creo camp will go to perpetuate lies.Note: I do not wish to steer this OT in any way, but this needs to be addressed lest it become true by repetition.

Okay, now I understand. In other words, YOU MADE UP THE QUOTE. It supports your position, you believe the attitude was there, so you made up and cited something that didn't exist. It is good that your position on honest scholarship is clear, I hope we all remember this the next time you cite, well, anything.Also, it did not escape me that you were 'palming the pea' here. I did not ask you for evidence of antisemitism in the RCC, I asked you to prove that that your quote was not a complete fabrication. Instead you say it is well known history then go off on the above tangent. Still haven't admitted you made it up.

Hey IaJ,I think this was intended for me, not Paul. Still, again, not supporting your quote. You posted a link to portions of a 200+ page book to back up your assertions? Again the views of the RCC are not in question, just the EXACT quote you came up with (as in apparently made up). Are you aware that every time you do this you just dig yourself deeper? That you just make your position worse? That you just make more and more of a caricature of fundamentalist Christians to the hundreds of people that will read this? Are you that clueless? I gave up all illegal drugs over 20 years ago, but am curious as to what you may have discovered. The word "simultainiously" itself lends me to believe you may in fact have some education ties to our current president.But I want to see this thread go back to what it promised. Show some fulfilled prophesy. Let's ignore the Jesus thing, we are never going to get past that. Outside of Jesus, start naming biblical prophesies that came true. This is not on Joseph's shoulders, anyone. There has to be one, right? Haven't heard a single EVER that wasn't false or written after the fact.

Hate to have to do this again. Where is this quote from? I cannot find it with any on-line search engine and can find nothing of the sort in the book "Churchill and the Jews: A Lifelong Friendship" by Martin Gilbert, which is where such a quote should be I would think.Did you invent another quote in the 'spirit' of what you believed they said? Or is this from another source?
