Actually, I was going to tell him that a couple days ago but realized that he was just going to pull that "I know everything there is to know" crap like so many others. I say we just ignore him and let him find out the humiliation on his own. Personally, I'm sick of having to save these people from future humiliations. People like J_f should learn the hard way when they happen to start blowing hot air out of their buttholes in front of real live people instead of an internet forum.

You haven't even taken biology and you're trying to debate with real live biologists on a subject of biology?

Personally, I'd prefer the frog's method of "beating them over the head with it." Oh, and of course the occasional yelling through Dan Carrol's megaphone. Hate world. Revenge soon!

Dude, do you even know anything about what you just said? Fusion reaction to fuse atoms of life??? This is Earth, not Middle Earth or whatever fantasy land you live in. That is, short of a fusion reaction that happened to fuse the atoms of life together. Hate world. Revenge soon!

Do you even know that most books out there on the issue are written in lament's terms just so people like you could understand?
I have read many biology textbooks and books written by authors on both sides of the evoloution issue. Older does not mean smarter, though I do acnolage that they know the deffinitions and the tehnical aspects of most small theorys.
You have an oversimplified view of life. Know that some of the people you are talking to are real live biologists and perform these experiments themselves.
I have spent my time studying the general items that are needed to make fools out of my teachers.
Irrelevant. It's like me saying I can make a fool out of you simply because I can speak Vietnamese and you can't. Apparently, you don't know what specialize mean.
And yes I have been through a very rudimentary biology course.
??? Added by edit. You remind me of someone I used to know. She visited Vietnam for 2 weeks and afterward she claimed to know everything there is to know about the Vietnamese culture. She also claimed that Vietname is a democracy. When she started talking about some specifics, I had to correct her on some things. She just started saying that she knew these things more than I did, since she was an "observer." Now really, who are you going to trust more, someone that visited a section of Vietnam that was made purely for tourists and someone that actually grew up in the country and still have relatives all over the place there? Might I also add that I recently went back there and stayed among the locals for 3 months. This message has been edited by Lam, 11-05-2004 04:11 PM Hate world. Revenge soon!

Here are some quotes that makes me really doubt that you probably don't really understand those papers that you claim to read.
Most books being a key word. I try at least to avoid those. Papers published by professors is a better sorce of data for me. quote: Here is a hint. Anyone with the most basic knowledge of biology would get a really good laugh out of every single quote I put above. Some of the words are scientific, but they are being used completely out of context. They may sound impressive to a 10 year old, but they are laughable to the rest of us here. From what I have seen, I can only draw 2 conclusions out of this. (1) You really think you know something/everything about biology and you honestly don't know that you really sound foolish to the rest of us. (2) You are aware that you don't sound impressive at all, but since this is an online forum where people can't really see your face you think that there's nothing to lose and just go ahead and make an idiot out of yourself. Believe me, you are not the first. This message has been edited by Lam, 11-05-2004 04:30 PM Hate world. Revenge soon!

Nah, this person seems a little better than Desdamona. Desdamona didn't even know that flashing stars are really meteorites burning when entering the Earth's atmosphere. There was one point when she actually said that stars sometimes fall from the sky. The scary thing was she actually meant it and tried to argue with people when some people tried to tell her that they were rocks rather than stars.
He seems arrogant, but at least he can read... to some extent. Hate world. Revenge soon!

I agree that chances are that these people are capable of both of those things. However, wouldn't you agree that so far they have only been the most egoistic idiots who think they know everything by memorizing 2 words out of some obscure article on biology? I believe that the more you are gentle with these people the more they'll think they are right. I'd say that a a few percent of those who come in like JF are capable of both listening and understanding. If you look through my previous posts in reply to him, you will see that I was very patient with him for a long time. I tried to point out some flaws in his logic but all I got in return are more flaws accompanied by "I know all... you don't know what you are talking about..." I think I gave him enough chances before I started hitting him hard with his own words. It would be a dream come true if people like him would for once admit that perhaps they don't know as much as they would like to think they know. Unfortunately, it's not going to happen anytime soon. I say we hit them as hard as possible and force them to wake up from their fantasy. It's not like they're going to say, "gee, I never thought of it that way before. I'll think about it and get back to you." I'm going to kiss my own foot if JF actually says something like that. Hate world. Revenge soon!

Permit me to remind you of a very important post made by Admin.

Please answer admin and provide us with some kind of quote or reference from the book that you claimed to have used the experiment to support evolution. JF writes:
Hi JESUS freak, I was talking about message 29 where you asked me if this was the book I'm not sure why we're experiencing difficulties here. It would be greatly appreciated if you would read the very recent messages from me and Charles more carefully and give us a meaningful response. You claim to have a text book that misrepresents the Miller/Urey experiment. Please provide the text of that mispresentation. Let me try to be very clear by repeating this: Please provide the text of the misreprentation of the Miller/Urey experiment from your earth science text book. Also, please provide the text of the other misrepresentations you have mentioned, such as the February, 2004, issue of Popular Science, or the March, 1998, issue of National Geographic. If there's something about this request that you don't understand or that you need help with then please just let us know.
