Well, that is the Christian view of the prophecy. However, that is not the Jewish view of a prophecy. THe Jewish view is that a prophecy is a warning that Israel is drifting away from the word of god, and that there would be dire consequences. There might be 'signs' to show a prophecy is valid, but it is not a prediction of the future per say.
