Technical answers for Velikovsky fanstasy

Could any of the scientists here give us a brief outline of what would happen if:1. The earth stopped rotating on its axis.2. If the Earth was to stop and then start rotating on its axis again, but in the opposite direction.If any of the answers to the two questions are positive, is there any evidence that you know of to support this in the last 3500 years? Hi Jon, Apparently, it was a large comet that grazed the Earth twice. The large comet, which was projected out of Jupiter, this comet is now the planet Venus.From Velikovsky's 'World's in Collison' page 181.I came to the conclusion, about which I no longer have any doubt, that it was the planet Venus, at the time still a comet, that caused the catastrophe of the days of Exodus (181).
