Re: 0.6 grams of mass lost at Hiroshima
It contained 64 kg of uranium, of which 0.7 kg underwent nuclear fission, and of this mass only 0.6 g became energy.
that translates to 5.4x1013 Joules (1 Joule equals 1kilogram meter2 second-2

Also, given what Fat Boy did, it might be useful to tranlate the 5.4x1013 Joules into what that would do.
try the amount of energy required to move 54 million kilograms 1 kilometer
Edited by bluescat48, : No reason given.

Is Einsteins theory e=mc^2 actually cyclical?
If you want to call it that. All equations operate the same way.
E=mc2
m=E/c2
C=(E/m)
E-mc2=0
E/mc2=1

Re: equations and formulae
Modulous
Either that, or they thought you were more educated that you are. When you said 'Year 12 science", I took that to mean a level of maths equivalent to my own. That includes up to doing calculus on trigonometric functions. In my maths education, I also had to learn the mathematics of basic physics (Newtonian mechanics).
Where & when the individual took 12 yr science might have an effect as to how high a level of science & math the individual acquired. In my case it ended with analytic geometry and very introductory calculus, and use of derivatives and integrals
