Hey truthlover,
The truth is that most of the evolutionists who cared to reply to you only did so to mock your faith rather than any real intention to assist you with the information you were requesting. You may notice that there was more of a desire to contend with with your assertions, presumptions, and reasonings than to answer the question. I'm afraid its a pack dog mentality that the evos have...not ALL of them, but most of them.
Ask them for science and they'll give you indignation and tell you about their many years of college...perhaps believing they can seduce you with their many words. It kills me some times...ask a yes or no question and you'll get a paragragh...try it, it's cheap entertainment on a friday night

It wasn't an ambiguos insult. It was a very overt one. But it really only applies to the people I was referring to. I was careful to qualify my statement and say "most" not all. So why exactly are you taking offense?
There were many others who posted after my statment and apologized to Truthlover for being so insulting and began to help him address the question he posed.
Your post was not ignored, it simply has not been responded to. I thought yours was a good post and didn't take the combative approach that many of the origianl posts had...so, kudos.
I merely presented the fact that most of the people who replied to him did not answer his question, but just went over the top and began critisizing. If I ask you "what is evolution?" and you respond with "God is a fairy tale", are you answering the question?
Take a deep breath. Exhale. Let's just keep this thread on track with the question presented, shall we?

unless you can show that what was discussed in that post "was not science", or that anywhere in that post was any discussion of credentials
I am not an evolutionist, so I can't answer Truthlover's question. Since you clearly ARE an evolutionist, why not take a stab at the topic at hand rather than sidetracking from the subject as you have done?
BTW, thanks for the entertainment

Sorry Schraf,
I was more concerned that people weren't answering the question than the tone that they were taking with Truthlover. Nearly all of us are guilty of going over the top in our responses. It just bothered me that someone asked a legit question and he got squashed for it. The best part is that Truthlover is an evo just like the people who jumped his case. I guess thats proof that the evos will eat their young...Just kidding...geeze, you guys have no sense of humor
Since the issue is in the past, I'm happy to let it stay there. Lets keep the posts on topic so the thread doesn't get shut down.

It seemsed to be that they simply got scared. They had been convinced that to be a good Christian you weren't allowed to accept modern scientific thought, and when it started to make sense to them intellectually, the congnitive dissonance caused them considerable pain.
Don't you think your reaching a bit? That's a pretty detailed opinion concidering you lack of extrasensory perception. It's doubtful you or anyone else "scared" a Christian or "caused them considerable pain". Trust me, most of the evos arguments are not that convincing to a creationist. So before you break your arm patting your own back, I feel obligated to set the record straight.
