I have no idea. I was shooting air rifles and pistols from age 7, 12-bore on clay pigeon shoots from age 11, was teaching marksmanship on .303 by age 30 (and also in charge of the armoury), and at the same time was shooting SA80 (L85, L86 LSW, and cadet.) My experience of handguns is much less, and have only shot them on no more than 10 or so occasions (and all pre-dunblane.)Is that more or less than you were expecting?

Rahvin, people are idiots. That includes you and me at particular moments in our lives. You do not put guns into the hands of idiots. It is that fucking simple. If you have the problem that plenty of idiots already have guns, then giving more guns to more idiots is possibily not the smartest of moves...

This happened three weeks ago. This is not just some anecdote. And coming on the back of Trayvon Martin. But it's not these incidents.
