The new Star Wars MMO, The Old Republic, is fucking awesome.
Word.
It’s the only game where I like the good guys more. Gotta go with the republic IMO.
Besides like 75%+ of the server population (across the board) is Sith/Empire anyway, and if you couldn’t tell its my belief that only dead fish, go with the flow

And Mary Sue Jedi's need to be killed on sight.
Mary Sue is on the Sith/Empire side in this game.

I would get sick of the force users (specifically the Jedi) being an order of magnitude better than non-force users in the films and the RPG.
SAGA rules RPG? I beg to differ. Multiclass in the that system was the key. And If the Jedi are that distasteful then you can always play in a era without them (the Rebellion era), or play when they are less important (Yuuzhan Vong War era).
Mary Sue is a term for perfect characters who seems to gain powers on demand (the EU is rife with this).
I know who mary sue is.
Jedi, to me seem holier than thou 'lawful stupids' who stamped out other force traditions through out the 20,000 yrs of modern history.
If they were lawful stupid, then they would never break away and join the dark side. Conflict is the essence of the characters, and so is the temptation of the dark side. Besides I don’t think many of them are that lawful. They do happen to be mindful of the Force.
Abe: just realised that I'm ranting. I did not think Star Wars meant so much to me, lol.
Who isn’t?

Any MMO I have played I have done the same. that way, PvP victories feel like they are earned, in the event that the PvP battle is team v team as opposed to 1on1.
Word. I like the fact that if you want to play in a PvP warzone its easier (takes less time in a queue) because your faction is in the minority.
Yea, it sucks. It completely pushed me away from the game. What little actual skill is involved (at least in this particular game I mentioned), the little pricks who have mommy's unlimited credit card PWN ass because they can buy gear and make it a shit experience for any serious player who can't dump 100's of dollars a month/week on shit.
But as a Casual Gamer in his 30s, who has a real 9 to 5, and works all day 5 or 6 days a week, it also sucks that there are kids, or guys who work less than you do who have and extra 20+ hours per week to devote to a game, and completely make it less fun because they got plenty of time to game and you do not. I doubt that many of those little pricks are using Mommy’s money on a PC game, and would bet most of them are guys like me who spend money on things they work for, for things they want, when they chill at home on a game.
I think the best solution is to these two audiences to play different games. Broke dudes play a really grind based game, and guys who can spend some dough to play the pay for it games.

Re: SWTOR
Well, in the game I was referring to, that was exactly the case and everyone knew about it. I did not intend to make it sound as though it was that way for every game of this type.
What game are you talking about?
Well, upon further investigation, SW:TOR can fuck right off. I don't game enough to pay a monthly fee.
Because 50 cents per day is WAY to expensive for my entertainment needs (kidding).

I pay for WoW for myself and my fiance, and Champions Online for myself. We're soon going to buy SWTOR and I'll be paying for two subs to that as well (we'll drop WoW by the next expansion).
It saves me money, because we can spend our leisure time at home with a small monthly fee rather than going out to dinners and movies and bars and (gasp) shopping. The fiance has a taste for high-end designer handbags/shoes/clothes/jewelry.
$75 a month ($45 after October) may be a fair amount, but that's one decent dinner out, and it gives us hours of enjoyment almost every night.
Word.
I have spent about $3 on leisure the past week, just playing SWTOR, and I a going to spend $0.50 today on leisure as well.

Perhaps I do. However, you should look up the definition of troll (as I have done for you guys already) and you shall see that anything I do could not be construed as troll-like behavior in any sense of the common usage of the term. Except, perhaps, for those who are woefully ignorant of the term. But to that extent, i could just as likely accuse you of being a chinaman.
The funniest bullshit I have read all week. We have already maintained in recent weeks here that definitions are not as important as what people who use the word believe the word to mean. Example: Bison v. Buffalo

Absolutely, 100%, probably every time you get on this site.

Just because I call you out when you make assertions that are completely false and can be easily shown to be wrong, doesn't mean I am attacking you personally. I know it hurts to be proven wrong, but a personal attack it is not.
ROFLMFAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Here's a hint: I am an asshole, not a troll. Get on the internet more and learn the difference between troll and asshole.
You have not shown that you understand what a troll is. You call me a Troll all the time merely for not agreeing with your ever bountiful and un-evidenced reason. 10 people here say the sky is blue, and I say it is green; is not an example of a troll. You should take your own advice and figure it out.
Since you have admitted to be an asshole does that mean we can call you one?
Asshole writes:
Trolling is saying something or taking a position that is contrary to your own position.
So if you participated on the Debate Team in high school, and you received a topic to defend that was contrary to your own position then you were being a Troll at a debate competition?
Are WWII reenactors from the USA who dress up as 3rd Reich SS troops, trolls? What about confederate reenactors from Wisconsin?

Re: trolling example
Of course it is. fishing is the action of attempting to catch fish, otherwise it would be called catching, instead of fishing. Just as shopping is different than buying. I can shop all day and not purchase anything but I am still shopping.
I think it is less clear that trolling exists, in the context we are speaking about, unless the emotional response is received.

standing on the shore is for poor people, you gotta sit in a boat.

Re: trolling example
ok.
sorry Fishing is my favorite hobby, and any time I can talk about fishing is great, and I got excited for a second.
A troll is someone who posts inflammatory messages with the primary intent of provoking readers into an emotional response".
Trolling is the action of attempting to make the other person mad. You can troll all day and not make anyone mad, but you're still trolling.
good point, i hear ya.
ABE:
I just googled ABE and nothing really came up, what is ABE
So what if your position offends people and causes them to have an emotional response. Does that make you a troll, because someone was offended by your opinion?

alright its been a week
are you still playing Diablo III even though the flaws are widely known.
I am, i just play slowly, (maybe 1 or 2 nights per week, and hour or two each time i play).
Are the "rares" that you can craft random or does everyone get that yellow head-piece at journeyman?
I am playing a barbarian still, but have made a Wizard due to the design flaw.
