The creationism vs. evolution debate generally comes down to the young Earth creationist (YEC) vs. the mainstream evolution positions.
Now, the evolution side position is pretty unified - We (and I am of the evolution side) all see the big picture pretty much the same way. We do, however, sometimes have some non-mainstream evolutionists (ex: Peter Borger, John Davison) - Perhaps they are some sort of vocal theistic evolutionists and/or IDists.
Now, when a new creationist shows up, the evolution side essentially must assume s/he is a mainstream YEC until other information presents itself. That information may eventually come out, but it's doomed to get lost in a "I saw it in a message somewhere, but I can't recall the details, and I now can't find that message" situation.
So, I'm proposing that members can have some sort of position statement in their profile, that can be consulted by anyone who is interested. For example, you could click on Buzsaw's profile button and see that Buz is an "old Earth is OK, but animal life is young" variety of creationist, with perhaps some additional details.
Perhaps this should have a link separate from the full member profile. Down at the bottom of the individual messages, between the "Profile" and "Mail" buttons, there would be a "Position Statement" button.

I've had this idea before, but the current inspiration can be found at the "Kent Hovind" topic, here and up-thread (and maybe elsewhere, but I've lost track of where).

Please be familiar with the various topics and other links in the "Essential Links", found in the top of the page menu. Amongst other things, this is where to find where to report various forum problems.
