If it truly was a meaning a globe, the viewer would be blocked from viewing a whole hemisphere no matter where they sat over it. The passage clearly wants to represent the ability to see all people from the throne.
Often, a globe is seen as a flat circle.
Where? By who?. A flat circle of the earth is not a globe. Any attempt to represent a globe as a flat circle creates distortions, for example a mercator projection.
Because when you think of it, tents only start out flat before they are able to be lived in. They have to be assembled and supported from collapsing before they can be lived in. That means they become a 3d structure.
Much like a flat circle becoming a globe.
But it isn't the earth he is stretching out it is the heavens. The implication of the verse is the heavens stretch out to cover the flat earth. The tent covers over the flat. If there reference was to a globe the verse should mention something about surrounding don't you think?
Your attempt to use apologetics completely alters the meaning of the verse to suit what you want it to say.
