As I move closer and closer to productization I have had to shed features that depend upon someone else's product, and chat was one of them. As all my time is currently taken up, I need someone with the proper skills to volunteer to implement a native chat feature, else it will be a while before it can be done. Anyone considering this role should understand that the requirements in skills and time are prodigious.
