But you and the frog are two that I have personally clashed with on this issue.
Did we really "clash"? I posted some stuff I had read at a webpage, you pointed out it contradicted Rei; I read her links and they were clearly more knowledgable than what I had read.
I don't see the problem. We all write off the cuff, or from memory. Sometimes something we thought we knew turns out to be wrong. When challenged, we support or retract. Creo's don't seem to do that. Sounds like a self-correcting problem, at least for the evo's.
I, or others, shouldn't be required to post requests for reference support for every dubious statement (correct or not) that we encoounter.
What seems dubious to one may be obvious to another. Asking for references when you want them seems fairer than demaning that a poster read your mind and know just which statements you're likely to challenge.
