quote:Many animals do eat plants, and, after the flood no doubt had some to eat. During the flood, provision was made on board the ark. How much they need would depend on how active they were, how many hibernated, etc. quote:amen Consider the alternatives.

Consider the alternatives. Hmmmm.... what alternatives... Perhaps that the Bible is historically inaccurate, and that the "Great Flood" was a catastrophic, but regional, event? That's a great alternative - it doesn't require your ridiculous endless speculations, and can be examined in an extra-biblical manner. Sounds good to me... (I'm also enjoying the fact that didn't refute my theory that God manned the ark with robots...)

I asked for a specific citation that something lived specifically I asked for one section that says something lived outside the ark. not open to your or anyone else's interpretation. a passage that specifically says the fish survived would do. and assuming further miracles to explain given miracles seems like shoddy work was involved. certainly it has no place in science classes in school.
KJV gen 7:23 writes: Every living thing on the face of the earth was wiped out; men and animals and the creatures that move along the ground and the birds of the air were wiped from the earth. Only Noah was left, and those with him in the ark. To me the "face" of the earth is what you see from space, both the land and the sea, and that all living things including those living in the land and in the sea were wiped out and the only things left living were in the ark: there is no reference of any other "ark" or escape clause. we are limited in our ability to understand by our ability to understand RebelAAmerican.Zen[Deist

"All that was in the dry land, died."
It is not really reasonable to think sea life died, and that Noah had saved whales and dolphins in the boat!

now give the citation for how god controlled the currents and everything
specifics, not conjecture, is needed or you are just making it up to make it work. that is not the way rational thought is used, that is not the way science does things. either it is rational and scientifically possible OR it is in the bible OR it is just a private fantasy. private fantasy ... now their is someting to have in science class. we are limited in our ability to understand by our ability to understand RebelAAmerican.Zen[Deist

quote:All men living, all mankind was in the ark, and there are hundreds of places where it says He loves, and cares for us. 'The angel of the Lord encampeth round about them that fear Him, and delivereth them' I will never leave thee nor forsake thee He 'is able to do exceeding abuntantly above all that we ask or think' etc. Do you think He took a trip to Jupiter at the time? Control the sea? Jesus walked on water, and calmed the stormy sea with a word!

still no reference of anything outside the ark surviving.
"not really reasonable" is just your opinion, which for someone who makes up stuff to make belief in a mythical story is not one I give much credence to. "everything on the face of the earth died ... Only Noah was left, and those with him in the ark." It is not really reasonable to read this to say that most of the life on the planet was exempt. enjoy we are limited in our ability to understand by our ability to understand RebelAAmerican.Zen[Deist

Was it alive during the flood? Or did it grow just after the flood? Your answer would probably be that it was created full blown just after the flood if it was in your interest, when the truth is you just don't know because it is not covered.
And olive trees aren't fish or dolphins or octopus or sea turtles ... etcetera. And again, you just don't know because it was not covered. Furthermore, if over 3/4ths of the life on the planet was not wiped out by the flood ... then what else escaped this loose rending of wrath? Seems to me that once you allow an escape clause that the whole "everything died" thing is in sever question ... "everything but 3/4ths of creation died" just doesn't cut it does it? Another question it opens up is why all the birds were killed when there are species that can easily have spent that entire time at sea -- it is their natural environment ... Storm Petrels and the like. Please go back and read how ridiculous 'whatever' got on this issue -- it is a good hoot, and might save you some embarrassment. Koalas in floating islands of trees? Not the moon pool. Please, NOT THE Moon Pool. Listen. Watching folk try to speak seriously about the Boat that Didn't Float is fun but that thread was just painful. Aslan is not a Tame Lion
