Without going into the immorality of the conservative attempts to "save" Terri Schiavo there is one important difference.
It is impossible that Terri Schiavo will recover. Impossible.
While Buz is certainly set in his ways his case is not THAT hopeless. Even if in Admin's judgement he will not improve to the extent where he is a net asset to this forum it cannot be said to be an impossibility. Both judgements (the value of Buz's presence and the chance of improvement) are more subjective than the clear medical evidence in the Schiavo case. And it is entirely in line with "liberal" views to give the benefit of the doubt to the one who will suffer the consequences of a decision.
