Chimps eat a type of leaf for its antiparasitical effect, though I cannot recall what it is.

I don't know if it leaves them parasite-free, though I doubt it, but IIRC it does seem to help them recover strength by lightening the load.

I tried to google it up, but all the hits are log-in protected. Maybe a better connected primate than me can shed some light.
