It was actually the first book I ever read. I was like 6 years old and I took it from my mothers bookshelf.

Haven't seen the movie yet. I've read the books about 3 times by now, and no movie based on a book is ever as good as the book. That said, I'm still looking forward to seeing the movie. I read that Douglas Adams did always want a movie to be made of it, and the TV series didn't really measure up. Although the guy who did the voice of the book did a good job.

As for the movie, I'll save my judgement until I see it.
