I don't know about anyone else, but I find this statement terrifying.
As soon as you move from asking questions and considering the implications you enter the realm of brainwashed cultists. It's beliefs like this that cause people to commit genocides, mass suicides and self stay members of destructive cults like Scientology.
I blows my mind that any intelligent, caring person can believe something like this and it scares the heck out of me that this is actually what fundies think like.
All it takes is a very persuasive charimatic individual to move you from this unconditional belief to do whatever they want of you. Just look at what Manson did. Hitler. Osama.
As soon as you close yourself to questioning your beliefs this is the realm you enter.
I can see it now - biblical archeaologists uncover the verified gospel of Jesus and he actually speaks about how all non believers must be given the chance to repent and convert or be slain. If the church says it is valid and true they would immediately have this massive army of zombies to perform their dirty deeds.
Questioning is NOT allowed. God says it it so and God is unconditionally correct.
I wonder how long before the next Christian Osama makes an appearance.
