Objective moral standards{OMS} for the purposes of this discussion will be considered innate laws of behaviour that are god-given standards that men must adhere to for proper moral behaviour in life.
Now we will introduce moral dilemmas to see what people here consider proper acions that are based upon these OMS. The purpose is to see how objective we can be concerning our actions in a given situation.The topic should initially allow for people who assume the OMS exist to respond after which we shall open debate on the issues.
Dilemma #1.
You are walking home from a twelve hour shift at work one winter evening as a man,obviously on hard times is walking with his daughter towards you when,of a sudden, he draws a weapon on you.He demands that you give all your money to him.His daughter is frightened,cold and thin from hunger yet you are barely making ends meet with your own family who await your arrival to pay overdue bills to keep the utilities on and buy groceries.
The weapon is a sharp knife,however,you are well trained in hand to hand combat to defend yourself and are confident that you can disarm him swiftly but will inflict grievious injury.
