A rather common argument of Creationists against Evolution is not based on a claim that Evolution is factually wrong but rather on morals. They claim that Evolution can be used to justified things like ethnic cleansing. Most of them point to Nazi Germany as an example.
I argue that faith in the bible and god can and has been used in just the same way. Examples are the Crusades and the Inquisition. In fact, I claim that using simple logic the basic tenets of Christianity lead to moral dilemmas.
For example : I have a friend who is a devout Christian and I believe that he will be going to Heavon when he dies. However, I have reason to fear that he falling into bad company and that he might in fact renounce his faith in a year or so. Should I not kill him so that his soul might be saved?
The point I am trying to do that the moral argument against Evolution makes no sense, since history shows that every religion has led to various attrocities. Moreover, the basic tenets of religion can in fact be used logically to justify them.
I think this should go to Social Issues.
