Religions of Peace

What are the standards of a religion of peace? And how many religions are actually religions of peace.To me an actual religion of peace would have Peace or do no harm at its core, and no amount of extremism or fundamentalism could corrupt it to become a religion of hate, ware ....Many religions claim to be religions of peace Muslims claim that, Christians claim that, in the case of the Muslim religion you can clearly see it is not a religion of peace if it where no one would be proclaiming holy ware or jihad on the bases of the quoran, some claim well those are just fundamentalists or extremists, well you have fundamentalists and extremists in Jainism, when they walk they watch the ground closely so they do not step on a bug, they filter water so they do not eat and thereby kill a bug the extreme of do no harm.So we see that extremism or fundamentalism is not the problem the fundamentals and extremes of most religions are the problem.So what about Christianity well in the past few centuries it has been somewhat domesticated or pacified if you will but in its core it is not a religion of peace you have a number of fundamentalists or extremists that hate gays yes hate is not peace, you have numbers of fundamentalists who believe that whites are the chosen race by god or white supremacist, you still have forceful conversions to Christianity in India, and if you read the bible it is clearly not a book about peace.
