Until i googled it a few minutes ago, I thought a cell phone was any mobile phone, including a smart phone. But it seems a cell phone is not a smart phone. In Australia, no one uses the term, "cell phone" ... we use the term, "mobile phone", and it could refer to a smart phone or an old-fashioned dumb phone (which are just about extinct).
