I see. Could you then go through, let's say, the entire first chapter of the Gospel of John and highlight the part that I or someone is making up ? There are only 51 verses to John chapter one. Am I misrepresenting you to teach that the champion of the truth in the account is not God but the serpent ? So your hero in the account is the serpent. Why am I not surprised? Since you're here to "help" people understand the Bible what did it mean for Jesus to say Let the dead bury their own dead. (Luke 9:60) ? No, I am going This is what the story says. For some reason some Christians - nominal Christians at least - don’t seem to like what it says and don’t want to accept it. They would rather reject the Bible than find an honest way of dealing with their problems. And that is on them.

You mean like Jesus predicted that many false prophets would come saying "I am the Christ" and warning about wars and rumors of wars. I think He said quite a bit to warn the disciples of false starts and presumptions which will turn out to be unreliable. Nothing really all that new then for you to point it out. Do you owe your creation to God or random chance ? The truth is what you care about now. Do you need forgiveness from God ? Do you need salvation from the guilt of your sins before God ? The truth concerns you now.

Years ago I read most of The Late Great Planet Earth by Hal Lindsey. Funny, I don't remember reading anything like " I AM A GOOD CHRISTIAN ". If you have a copy of the book could you show me the quotation that furnishes you with this complaint ? Ie. "Hal Lindsey said not only the Second Coming was near but that HE was a GOOD Christian".
