A system, an affront; we just plain don't know. It is neither reasonable nor logical to seek "justice" against a "system" by targeting the people who took five hours and twenty minutes to complete the Boston Marathon.

I'm sure that is what you believe.

While not rational, it , it being Boston, and tax day, it could be a 'domestic terrorist'. It could be a lone lunatic, it could be an al-quida cell, or it could be someone inflamed by anti-government rhetoric.
I think some people's response , given the current level of information we have, is entirely inappropriatre, such as this Fox News commentator 'Muslims are evil. Let’s kill them all': US TV commentator Erik Rush provokes furious reaction with Boston bombing Twitter rants | The Independent | The Independent

Newtown CT Families had VIP Seats Near Boston Marathon Blasts, page 1
this seems to link the Newtown shooting with the bomb locations -- has anyone heard any more on this? I note that there are "conspiracy nuts" that believe that Newtown is fake and set up to enable the federal government to seize peoples guns ... Is there a connection?by our ability to understand Rebel American Zen Deist ... to learn ... to think ... to live ... to laugh ... to share. I'm sure that is what you believe. That would be a fair deduction based on the fact that that is what I said. But what do you believe?

What I believe is totally irrelevant. The fact is that right now all we know is that there were at least two explosions, when and where the explosions happened and that there were injuries and deaths.
Who and why are still total unknowns and it is silly to classify them as "disturbed" or "illogical" or "unreasonable" until more is known.Anyone so limited that they can only spell a word one way is severely handicapped!

Not if I consider the use of bombs to kill innocent bystanders to be "disturbed" and\or "illogical" and\or "unreasonable" behavior. Anyone who would do such a thing ...lets just say that justice is demanded at this point. WHO? Who are you going to prosecute? Do you have a suspect, Phat? Who does your justice hammer strike?"Science is interesting, and if you don't agree you can fuck off." -Dawkins

jar writes: Yes indeed. There is no justification for intentionally killing innocent civilians. I dont think a just case could even be made that would stand up under any jury.
If it's domestic it has to be a disturbed individual?

Who are you going to prosecute? Do you have a suspect, Phat? Who does your justice hammer strike? As of the time of this post, there are still no suspects. What is evident is that this was a purposeful action that killed and was designed to kill and maim innocent civilians. There is no excuse nor justification for this action.

Still the same error Phat yet you even quoted.
Why does "domestic" influence whether or not the person who committed the acts was disturbed?Anyone so limited that they can only spell a word one way is severely handicapped!

I'm sure that is what you believe. You've made a series of posts which stop just short of saying that you can envision some set of circumstances under which blowing off children's legs at the finish line of the Boston Marathon might be a logical and correct act. Could you stop being coy and give us some examples of circumstances you think would fit the bill?Under a government which imprisons any unjustly, the true place for a just man is also in prison. Thoreau: Civil Disobedience (1846) I would say here something that was heard from an ecclesiastic of the most eminent degree; ‘That the intention of the Holy Ghost is to teach us how one goes to heaven, not how the heaven goes.’ Galileo Galilei 1615. If there is no struggle, there is no progress. No, I can't give you any examples of when I think blowing off children's legs at the finish line of the Boston Marathon might be a logical and correct act but that is irrelevant.
I was not the bomber. But the people injured were likely not the target of the acts anyway; it may well be that they were simply incidental to some other target like the city, the state, tax laws, the Federal Government, Obama, Gay Marriage, the FBI ... AbE: But all of that is irrelevant to my point anyway. Phat in particular made a statement that if it was Domestic Terrorism it was some disturbed individual and that is just nonsense. It is very possible, even likely, that whoever planted the bombs, whether foreign or domestic, believes that their actions were completely reasonable, logical, ethical and justified. Whether it was foreign or domestic has nothing to do with how they view their motivation. Edited by jar, : see AbE:Anyone so limited that they can only spell a word one way is severely handicapped!

No, I can't give you any examples of when I think blowing off children's legs at the finish line of the Boston Marathon might be a logical and correct act but that is irrelevant. Thank you for that. So when people say that there are no reasons they, as you just did, are expressing their own opinions. There is no need to annouce such posts with 'In my opinion', because that should be the default case for every post. Such expressions of what is reasonable are not challengable on the basis that someone else might think differently. And that's particularly so when you don't even disagree with the opinion expressed.
But the people injured were likely not the target of the acts anyway; it may well be that they were simply incidental to some other target like the city, the state, tax laws, the Federal Government, Obama, Gay Marriage, the FBI . Right. We should accept that attacking a concept by maiming children is just incidental damage? Well, no, we shouldn't.
It is very possible, even likely, that whoever planted the bombs, whether foreign or domestic, believes that their actions were completely reasonable, logical, ethical and justified. Yes, that's certainly possible. It's also something you never actually got around to clearly expressing until I called you on what you actually did say. Sometimes your 'It's just that simple' minimalist method of posting doesn't effectively communicate with others. I don't expect you to change your posting style. But understand that in this case, being cryptic was earning you an odious reputation that you don't deserve.Under a government which imprisons any unjustly, the true place for a just man is also in prison.
