So, I've just finished 'World War Z' (great read by the way) and it gave me nightmares. So I got to thinking about what I would do in a zombie apocalypse; how I would hope to keep me and mine safe. This kept me up for hours as I ran through various senarios and solutions (that's maybe what gave me the nightmares). Has anyone else thought about how they would survive and cope if the dead started walkin' and killin' the living?

No way, man!
In my nightmares it is always the fact that 'they' are taking over that gets my goat. And despite your thumbs up for the zombie way of life, they have no sense of humour so I doubt your stand up routine would go down a storm. So you would go from being the dude on stage to one of the dweebs in the audience.

Re: Zombie Survival Guide
I got the survival guide winging it's way to my house as we speak (amazon willing). Is it a good read?

Re: Zombie Survival Guide
You'd never survive on that dirt bike in your avatar, no matter how fast it is. Way too noisy, you'd be attracting every zombie town! Word. I reckon some familiarity with medieval weaponry would be the order of the day. Quiet and effective as long as you have strength in your arms. That's the message I got from World War Z: think man power rather than relying on technology. As long as you can keep decapitating you can stay alive.

The next director to use character stupidity to forward his movie theme I will hunt down and kick his ass so hard that they will have to take both of us to the hospital to take my foot out of his ass. I for one would advocate shooting dead in cold blood the guy who is bit to crazy (who would open the gates, turn off the power or otherwise some how bring doom upon us all), the city slicker who is out for himself (same doom as above, different motivation) and the kid with the dog (so we would not have to risk all to rescue the kid who tried to rescue the dog).

I liked Diary but I have to agree with you. I'm really glad the film maker guy got his! I did like the way the National Guard soldier got his, too (in Land of the Dead): nice little piece of continuity.
One of them decided to take a bubble bath, Yeah, with an electric heater perched on the side of the bath :eek How did you know the Texan girl got killed by a redneck?

Hmmm, well I'm not convinced. All I saw was the red necks killing zombies or people at then end. The girl very clearly had black or brown hair so I don't think it was her. Unless I'm still missing something?

Time stamp error.
If you listen to the voice over from the charming female lead it clearly states that the footage of the red necks was the last thing downloaded by the foolish film maker. This means that it had to have been downloaded when they were at the hospitality of the guys holed up with the guns who gave them the supplies. This of course took place while miss Texas was still alive. So for it to be here she would have had to drive till day break (the footage is the day) get tide up and shot and the red necks would beam the footage into the past for the film maker to down load it. And dye her hair. Your point about red necks in general is well taken, howerver (with the exception of Hank Hill).

Re: Time stamp error.
or I've been a victim of false memory syndrome. What sometimes happens to me is my mental image of places that I've not been to for a while are reversed to look like a mirror reflection of reality. Memory is a strange old bird.

Aren't you glad I didn't pull out the fundamentalist card? "I don't care what that movie's ending looks like. I'm right and you're wrong!" God, yes

It probably still a very secret place. Once the war was over they would have reverted to type.
