Yup, that certain kind of christian... but I just find it odd that I haven't heard of or seen any christian rally FOR people's rights.
Perhaps you never heard of Martin Luther King or Katharine Jefferts Schori.

Human rights are not up for debate.
What rights humans have is always up for debate.
The issue once again though Taz is that you continue to assert that Christianity is some monolithic entity.
You claimed Christians do not speak out for others human rights. Sorry but many of us do.

When was the last time you heard about a christian rally for gay rights?
I hear about it almost daily Taz. In fact the Episcopal Church is going through a schism right now and the Presiding Bishop has taken the position that those churches that do not want to affirm human rights can just plain leave. We have an openly gay Bishop and today the argument is about whether or not we as Episcopalians need to go even beyond the concept of simply accepting civil unions but to granting full marriage rights consecrated by a church blessing.
Sorry Taz but there are Many of us that are not simply sitting on the sidelines.

Really. You don't think the fact that a Church is willing to stand up for civil rights even at the risk of many folk leaving or perhaps even being excluded from the Anglican Communion is not a demonstration of supporting human rights.
Come on Taz.

Here come de judge
Buz writes:
Jesus came to save, not to condemn.
Ah Buz, Jesus is the Judge and will be the one to condemn.
We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ,
the only Son of God,
eternally begotten of the Father,
God from God, Light from Light,
true God from true God,
begotten, not made,
of one Being with the Father.
Through him all things were made.
For us and for our salvation
he came down from heaven:
by the power of the Holy Spirit
he became incarnate from the Virgin Mary,
and was made man.
For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate;
he suffered death and was buried.
On the third day he rose again
in accordance with the Scriptures;
he ascended into heaven
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead,
and his kingdom will have no end.
Matthew 25 writes:
31"When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his throne in heavenly glory. 32All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.
34"Then the King will say to those on his right, 'Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. 35For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.'
37"Then the righteous will answer him, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?'
40"The King will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.'
41"Then he will say to those on his left, 'Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, 43I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.'
44"They also will answer, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?'
45"He will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.'
46"Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life."

Re: 2nd Advent = Judge
That's the beauty of the Bible. It is so filled with contradictions you can find support for any position.

Re: 2nd Advent = Judge
1. If it's so contradictory as you say why do you trust your soul with Christianity as per the book as you claim?
I don't trust my soul as per the book. A book is not going to have anything to do with my soul. Frankly, I don't much worry about my soul, there are far more important things a Christian needs to be doing. And if GOD exists, She is not the Christian God or Muslim God or Hindu God or Jewish God; She is GOD.
2. You need to reread my message where I debunked that there was a contradiciton here.
That's okay, there are so many other contradictions even if you were right it wouldn't matter.
