Didn't we do this once before? Anyhooo, I live and work as Reserve Manager of a lowland moist tropical forest preserve in the Ecuadorian Amazon. I'm responsible for conservation management, development and implementation of active conservation measures (including physical protection, reafforestation, biodiversity monitoring), and running our environmental education center (including developing programs for community outreach). I am currently single (again). My educational background is tropical ecology and project management, and my career has combined the two (i.e., ecology program management
). Obviously, I have a strong interest in evolutionary biology, as evolution underpins and explains just about every phenomenon, every decision, and every aspect of my work - from exotic control to ecological restoration. Hence my interest in this forum.
abe: The reason my participation tends to be sporadic is a combination of piss-poor satellite internet reception, intermittent power, and work.
